Brief Outline of subject at Junior Cycle

Junior Cycle Science will enhance students enquiry based learning participating in an active and dynamic learning environment. It includes topics from biology, chemistry, physics, earth and space. Throughout the three years students will complete two Classroom Based Assessments with a final written common level exam.

Brief Outline of subject at Senior Cycle

At Senior Cycle, students have the choice of studying between Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Agricultural Science. All of these subjects are offered at both higher and ordinary level, all including practical activities, project work and a written exam.

The subject at Transition Year

Transition Year Science is about bridging the gap between Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle Science. Students have the opportunity to sample each subject offer at Senior Cycle Science. They gain credits through their project work completed throughout the school year.
